Doing Nothing Is Doing Something (Sometimes)

When things are in motion, when circumstances call for action, and when patience wears thin, doing something makes sense. It can become a compulsion. The more we do the more we feel in control. One of the hardest things to do is nothing. Moreover, it's nearly impossible to convince ourselves that doing nothing is doing something. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it's the best course of action–inaction. Breathe, unplug, have fun, nap, change the pattern. You'll be better equipped to do something when you actually need to do something.
